Hi! My name is Marcelo Frederico, but people call me Fred. I’m from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and this is going to be my first international travel. I’m graduated in architecture and started working as 3D artist since 2020, when I finished college. I’ve worked with 3D studios from Brazil and Europe during these past couple of years and was able to learn a lot of things and very fast, such as lighting, materiality, storytelling and some other things.
6 months ago I started to work with HGW Architecture, an architecture company from San Diego. It’s been an extraordinary experience. The team is very receptive and very talented. Is so much easier to create nice renderings when the projects are this beautiful. It’s also been a great opportunity for me to improve my English speaking. A couple of months ago they offered me an opportunity to move to their city and work from the office. Moving and working in the United States was always one of my dreams, so I felt really happy with that. That’s when I met the Architect-US team.
All this process of preparing things before moving, getting and delivering documents and scheduling interviews is so overwhelming, but with the help of Architects-US team, specially Sonia, everything has been working fine and very smooth. And also quicker then I imagined.
I’ll be moving to San Diego this week and I’m looking forward to meeting the HGW Architecture in person, as well as experience this completely new environment. San Diego has a lot of cultural things to do. The famous Comic Con, the zoo, the beaches and also a lot of concerts. I’m a huge fan of music, so I can’t wait to attend to these events. I can’t wait to get there and start this new adventure. It’s going to be amazing.
