Hi Everyone!
Living in Chicago during the winter is hard, I thought the bad weather would never end but the sun finally came out! And it has come to stay (I hope so)
The city has changed, the streets are filled with terraces. This city is dominate by cars during the year but in summer some streets are cut off, only pedestrians can use them, it really seems like another city.
A few weeks ago it was Memorial Day, it is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday in May, in honor of the men and women who died while serving in the US military. It is a very important day in the country.
I wanted to take this opportunity to ask for a few days off and make a trip in the States. After much thought, my destination was Miami, it is a good option if you miss the beach since it is only two hours away by plane. They were incredible days, we had time for everything, we combined tourism and beach. Our hotel was in Miami Beach, a walk along Ocean Drive is mandatory, although if you prefer to get to know the city, it is better to look for a hotel in Miami.
For our surprise, on the occasion of Memorial Day we found an air show on the beach, it was exciting. I will repeat this trip soon.
Going back to talking about my new life in Chicago, I still can’t believe the experience I’m living. I am very happy at work, making the most of this opportunity. Thanks to Architect-US for helping me and making this adventure possible. I have been working for an architecture firm in Chicago for two months, isn’t that amazing?
Until next month, I hope to continue to have good news. We are in contact!
