We have received great news from our representatives at the Chamber of Commerce, so we wanted to provide an update to our Architect-US Community in regards to the new Schengen Zone guidance from the White House. Although throughout the year, we have been able to process J1 Visa applications from other parts of the world, as well as Europe, now we are finally receiving news that the J1 Visa limitations placed on some European candidates are gone now!
From November 1st onwards, vaccinated people will be able to travel to the United States. The embassy will go back to issue J1 visas from that date as well. Vaccinated passengers will be allowed to travel to the U.S. from the EU and U.K. from November onwards, and the White House announced the new policy on Monday this week.
What does this mean? It means that the U.S. Embassies are now allowed to accept the normal amount of J1 Visa applications as was the case before the pandemic. This is wonderful news and means the process will be expedited and open to all!
