Andrés Conejero Conesa, one of our incredible architects in the Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program, submitted Auroville Urban Axis, Urban Densification and Architectural Strategies in Southeastern India for the Portfolio Challenge. Conesa was in the midst of his Master of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid when he got the opportunity to travel to India to work with Anupama Kundoo Architects. The project is Conesa’s Master Thesis, but it began as a collaboration with Anupama Kundoo. He used AutoCAD 2D Drawing and hand sketching to create these beautiful designs and concepts.

Conesa stated that originally he had started the project while visiting India on a field trip, and when he arrived back in Spain he was so interested in the challenges that it presented that he decided to work on it for his Master Thesis.
Conesa graduated from ETSAM in 2019 and is now chasing his dreams in Los Angeles with Morphosis!
