WINTER SEASON

Hello Everyone,

This month is being a little colder than usual. It used to be 88 degras and have been doing around 50, so I decide to enjoy this winter season, having fun in the snow and skiing.
Last week I went to Salt Lake City, Utah, with a friend and his family, they came from Brazil. It was so nice to spoke my language for a few days, talk about my country and ate Brazilian food.

I woke up early on Friday and drove to Orlando, which is the closest airport to home.
Then I took a 5-hour flight to Salt Lake, there I waited for Marcelo and his family to arrive from Brazil. When they arrived, we took a van to Park City, where I stayed for 5 days.
Their apartment was amazing, from my room I could saw the mountains and the lift, after we settled in the rooms, we went out for a walk, renting skis and shopping at the grocery store for our breakfast. Then we stopped for dinner at a very cute restaurant at the foot of the mountain.

The next day we woke up early, I made my famous avocado toast for everyone and went out to ski, the day was beautiful, sunny and soft snow. I already had some experience skiing, but my friend is practically a professional, which was cool, because he gave me several tips, taught me several techniques and by the end of the day I was skiing much faster and going on the black slopes with him. Yes, I took some beautiful falls but nothing too serious. At the end of the day, we were going to recover in the warm waters of the hot tub accompanied by delicious hot chocolates.

On our second day of skiing, during the night it snowed a lot, which made the slopes even cuter, at first I was a little clumsy, but in the end, I was already enjoying the more powders slopes, it was a beautiful day too and we explored the other side from the mountain.
I was getting bolder and even among the trees and obstacles. I was already a fan of skiing, now I always want to do it.

On the other days, the weather was not so good, but we enjoyed it a lot, Marcelo’s family is incredible and I had great days with them. I missed my family, but it was wonderful to spend time with people who remind me of my home.
I can hardly wait for my next trip to the snow. I hope it is soon.
