13 tips to update your linkedin and land a job in the U.S!!

LinkedIn is a very powerful tool that will help you land the job of your dreams! If you understand how to use it and you manage to use all of its tools and resources to the full potential, you will see just how much it will help! Today, LinkedIn is probably the most influential tools used in job searches for applicants and employers, so make sure that it is tip-top! 1. Keep your profile up to date

It is a fact that a member with profile pictures are more likely to be visited. So make sure you take you use a good photograph.

2. Be comprehensive about current skills and objectives

Don’t leave anything out about your current skills and objectives. Make sure that it looks up to date and that your headline shares your main objective.

3. Highlight recent experience

You want your recent experience evident to anyone who views your page, so make sure that all of your notable recent experiences are there!

4. Update your headline

Your photo, name, and headline should stand out and highlight what you do or what type of position you’re looking for. Grab the attention from the very beginning!

5. Let people know your availability

If there is a way that you might catch a recruiter or hiring manager’s attention by informing that you are currently looking, do so!

6. Build your network to the 1st degree

Your connections can exponentially increase your exposure and access to other connections. This will increase your network, and allow you to contact other beneficial contacts.

Test different hours of the day on LinkedIn to see when is the time that you notice that the people you follow are more active.
