Here I am again, this time analyzing my second month in New York. The truth is that there are few negative things to highlight about this city. Everything I have experienced has been positive and very constructive.
Everyone I meet asks me the same question: How is your adaptation to New York going? How do you like the city? Have you already adapted to the chaos? And I always answer the same, I feel at home. I have felt that all the people that surround me and that are part of my life here make me feel at home. It’s a very active city, with a lot of people moving in the same direction at the same time interval. But if you have lived in Madrid for example, it can remind you of certain situations quite common in our capital. Therefore, NYC, as a big city, behaves in the same way.
The cold weather has arrived and the mornings are starting to be freezing. It is true that if you can’t stand the cold, you might start to have a hard time from now on. But the truth is that it is a city with a lot of sun and when the day is sunny it is very pleasant despite the cold. I recommend a good coat for winter and thermal clothing to not be held back by the cold of these months and continue to enjoy the city.
For me this month has been a month of receiving visitors. Friends, acquaintances and co-workers have coincided here this month to visit me and it has been another great opportunity to get to know the city. You never feel alone here, there are always people willing to come and visit you.
