Hi guys! Miguel here writing one more month about this Angelena adventure!
It’s amazing how fast time has gone by these last few months. I can’t believe that in two months I’m finishing my program!
It is for this reason that I am trying to take advantage of any moment, weekend or party to finish my to-do list. This last month I fulfilled another of my great American wishes, which is to attend a baseball game.
I must say that it was a real surprise. I gathered my friends and we got the tickets at the last minute! Nothing better for a Sunday afternoon than going to Dodgers Stadium.
If you are European and you are used to sports like football or basketball, here is my advice: take it easy. Baseball, unlike our fast sports, is a very, very slow game (this game lasted 5 hours).
It’s a lot of fun to see how Americans spend their afternoon at the stadium. They don’t just attend the game, but they have bought the ticket to go to the stadium shops, grab some food, visit historical parts of the place… And all this during the game!
It’s definitely another flow, but hey, you know what? The dodgers won! So everyone was happy (and not only during the kiss cam)
Let me give you another tip regarding getting tickets for games like this, concerts or shows. Usually when you’re interested in a show that looks amazing, it’s because a lot of other people are too. Therefore you are very lucky if you get a ticket before the famous sold out happens.
However, in the USA it is very important to take into account last minute (legal) resale. This means that prices drop a lot (you’d be surprised how much) on the last day, even a few hours before the show. Keep this in mind and do not give up until the last moment. That’s how I got my Dodgers ticket for half price! Incredible…
For all this it was a day that I will not forget of my year here in Los Angeles. Let’s see what other plans remain to be done during these last two months. At least one of them I already know: attending my first rap concert.
