Trip to Connecticut

Hi everyone!

It is amazing how quick time flies. I can’t believe it has been almost 8 months since I came to the USA. Everything seemed new and strange back then and now I have very good friends, the best work environment and it almost feels like home. Now that I look back, I feel really lucky of living this amazing experience.

Last October 5, all the Inglese team including myself went for a day trip to Connecticut to visit both the Glass House by Philip Johnson and the Grace Farm pavilion by Sanaa. This was the first trip that the team was doing this year and I was so excited to be a part of it. We even went all of us together in a bus so in a way it felt like those school trips that one used to do as a kid. It was very interesting so see both projects because although they were carried out in different times by architects with different backgrounds, they had some interesting similarities.

Also, we were very lucky with the weather and surprisingly enough, we could wore short sleeve t-shirts at the beginning of October! After our last visit, we all went together for some bowling in Rutherford and had a wonderful bonding time. I believe these experiences are the ones that make a team out of a group of people and I am so glad I am part of it. I am really looking forward to having more Inglese trips in the future!!
