Golfing among the skyscrapers at Chelsea Piers

The New York weather is funny. This weekend, Manhattan experienced around 20 degrees, magnificent sunshine and no wind on Saturday. The following day it was snowing during extremely strong winds!

So I was lucky to have chosen Saturday as my “Manhattan Golf Day”. Chelsea Piers Golf Club is the perfect Saturday morning pursuit if you are a golf enthusiast living in Manhattan. Or, if you’re a complete beginner who wants to experience golf in a different surrounding – you will practically shoot golf balls among skyscrapers. Due to the space constraint in Manhattan, there are no complete golf courses, but an impressive driving range (the view!) and a putting/ chipping section will definitely do according to me.

The whole set-up is very convenient. You just sign up in the reception and buy a ball card and rent a clubball card and rent a club if you don’t carry your own. Take an elevator up (I would recommend the top floor for the most magnificent Manhattan/Hudson River view) and start hitting those balls!

If you feel like a sporty Saturday but aren’t that into golf,Chelsea PiersChelsea Piers is offering a range of other sports: basket ball, rock climbing, sand volley ball and thriathlon  to mention a few.

Happy weekend!
