When you’ve been living somewhere for a while, everything becomes routine. You go to work on weekdays, do some shores, go get something to eat, check on social media, and that’s it. My life in L.A. becomes like that little by little, I run out of places to visit and things to see. I’ll say because in Bangkok, the city is compact and full of food all days all nights, and the streets are always crowned, making me feel like I can always have things to do when going out. But in L.A., because this city is expanded, my neighbor houses are silent after 8 p.m. make me feel lonely sometimes when walking around at night.
I tried to look for things to do to get rid of the loop life. The first thing I’ve tried is applying for an aquarium annual pass at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. There isn’t the big aquarium one, but it’s full of a lot of activities you can spend time with to kill a day. It’s take almost 2 hours for one round to go there by public transport.. but luckily that I enjoy spending time on the train, so it’s not that bad for me. They also have whale-seeing tours there; I’ll try someday for sure!
The second thing I’ve done is go trekking by myself. It’s not a tough route; I decided to go trekking near the Griffith observatory. At first I only planned for a short route called ‘Fern Dell’, but when I completed the route, which was really short, I founded a sign telling that I can also go to Griffith by this way. I was hesitant a bit because I’m not good at this stuff at all; I probably stop every five minutes along the way. But I finally kept going, and it was worth it! I only stopped when taking pictures. This route isn’t that steep, so it’s okay to keep going without taking a break. The views are also stunning, and when I can reach the top of the hill, which is the Griffith, it makes me a little bit proud of myself!
Also, I’ve planned to go to travel in the U.S. and outside as well; I will share on my blog if I visit any interesting places!
