The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is preparing to open its doors in Los Angeles. Designed by MAD and Stantec, the five-storey museum features a fluid, futuristic form wrapped in 1,271 curved, fibre-glass-reinforced polymer panels.
Founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the museum is conceived as a space dedicated to storytelling. Its elongated silhouette, dramatic cantilevers and glazed arches reflect MAD founder Ma Yansong’s vision of an emotional architecture in which every element feels fluid and interconnected.
