New porous steel pavilion cantilevered over a Tennessee park

Sanders Pace Architecture has completed a 230-square-meter steel pavilion in the heart of Baker Creek Park in Knoxville, Tennessee. This project is part of an ambitious urban plan that seeks to reconnect the city through 60 miles of greenways, linking natural, historic and recreational spaces. The pavilion is notable for its structural cantilever system and a fluid form that responds to its surroundings, inspired by nearby mountain bike trails.
