Trahan Architects has designed a spectacular Corten steel pavilion in Luther George Park in Springdale, Arkansas. The structure, light to the eye despite its robust materiality, spans 46 meters and rises above a wedge-shaped stage, blending seamlessly into the Spackman Mossop Michaels-designed landscape.
Set in a large garden, the pavilion acts as an event space and shelter from the sun, with a twisted form that visually connects with the surroundings. Its design takes advantage of the topography, opening onto a green space and merging with the adjacent embankment.
