An eight-story glass-clad building designed to be a “collaborative nexus” has been completed by U.S. architecture firm SOM. The project, called the Schwarzman College of Computing, occupies an area of 17,187 square meters and is located on Vassar Street in the northern part of the MIT campus. The building houses departments related to computer science and artificial intelligence. Nearly half of MIT’s undergraduate students major or minor in these fields.
