We loved meeting you, young talents from all over the world! We had great fun at our office in the Telefónica Open Future building – having drinks and exchanging tips, opinions and dreams about our common passion: Architecture!
We reviewed portfolios and gave recommendations on how to have a professional experience in the US and be able to get a job! We will share them here as well:
- Please include more architectural drawings or make bigger the plans, sections, elevations, schematic designs or construction details shown in your projects. Renderings and Photomontages are good but remember you’ll be competing with very graphically skilled locals and you’ll be better off showing your strong 2D&3D drawings.
- Please use 1-2 images per project and page. Packed sheets will only dilute the strength of your designs and compositions. Remember, less is more!
- Make sure all your drawings are readable and a 3x zoom is not needed to start understanding whether the drawing is an axon, a plan or a section. 🙂
- Reduce the amount of text if it is excessive. Please keep in mind that an HR Manager will spend reviewing your portfolio between 30-90 seconds and only images can grasp his/her attention!
- Please include your Final Thesis Project (if applicable).
- Also, make sure your Resume is on one page and doesn’t include a profile picture.
You can have a look at our current companies that will be interviewing our participants to find their perfect match to host.
We would love to receive your feedback on the event!
