3 Months in Miami’s Architectural Marvel – BAP

My Architectural Adventure

Hola amigos! It’s been an incredible journey since I embarked on my architectural adventure with Bermello Ajamil & Partners in the vibrant city of Miami. Coming all the way from Spain, I’ve finally realized my long-standing dream of working in the United States. The cultural fusion, the energetic vibe of Miami, and the dynamic environment at BAP have made this transition smooth and exciting.

Embracing Duties and Conquering Challenges

My role as an architect at BAP has been nothing short of thrilling. From the moment I set foot in the architectural studio, I was handed a remarkable challenge: spearheading the schematic design of a cruise terminal in Galveston, Texas. The project started from scratch, and I was tasked with translating concepts into tangible designs. Crafting the schematic design from the ground up has given me an immense sense of accomplishment. The responsibilities were immense, yet stimulating and fulfilling, as I collaborated with a team of talented architects and experts to bring this grand vision to life.

A Skill-Building Adventure

These three months have been a continuous journey of learning and skill enhancement. Revit has become my trusty companion, as it’s the primary software I’m using for design. The challenge of creating spaces that flow seamlessly for passengers while maintaining an eye-catching appeal has provided invaluable lessons in design balance.

Meetings, Collaboration, and Positive Vibes

In addition to design work, I’ve had the privilege of attending client meetings. These interactions have given me a holistic understanding of the project’s objectives and have honed my skills in communicating complex architectural ideas. The collaborative environment at BAP has been the cherry on top of this remarkable journey. The diverse team brings together different perspectives, creating an atmosphere that encourages continuous learning and personal growth.

As I look back on these transformative three months, I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to work on impactful projects and grow as an architect. From Spain to the USA, from dreams to designs, the journey has been inspiring and transformative. With every day that passes, I’m excited to see where this adventure takes me next – exploring new skills, conquering fresh challenges, and contributing my creativity to BAP’s architectural legacy. Here’s to the next chapter of growth, innovation, and architectural marvels! Stay tuned for more updates from my architectural odyssey!
