Architectural firm In Situ Studio has wrapped an art museum visitor center in Raleigh with blacked-out steel and a cantilevered roof with an opening over the courtyard. The 108-square-meter building will be in a large park that surrounds the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) and is designed to be a quiet backdrop to the existing landscape. The low, simple building has a wide, thin roof that curves gently and creates a shady vantage point across the park.
