After three years, the transformation of the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin has been completed. The project, carried out by Snøhetta, is now ready to receive the public. In order to create a welcoming gateway connecting the University campus and the vibrant city of Austin, an eye-catching installation was incorporated that encourages guests to linger and mingle with one another. This installation is made up of 12 three-story-tall petal-shaped structures that form a canopy, providing shade over the newly renovated Moody Patio and creating a fun dot pattern on sunny days.
