In this blog post I want to write about a very quick trip I took to San Diego, in Southern California.
Downtown & Coronado Island
If some of you haven’t been there, San Diego is a coastal city that offers endless opportunities for adventure, relaxation, and fun. From its stunning beaches to its vibrant downtown, there is something for everyone in this dynamic and exciting city.
One of the must-see destinations in San Diego is Coronado Island. This charming and historic island is just a short ferry ride from downtown San Diego and offers a peaceful escape from the bustling city. With its beautiful beaches, quaint shops, and historic architecture, Coronado Island is the perfect destination for anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway.
La Jolla Cove
Of course, no visit to San Diego would be complete without spending some time exploring its stunning beaches. From the famous La Jolla Cove to the quieter Coronado Beach, there is a beach for everyone in this city. Whether you are looking for a peaceful escape or an adventurous day of surfing, you are sure to find it here in San Diego. If you are an animal lover like me, I’m sure you will enjoy watching all the seagulls relaxing around La Jolla Cove. On my way from LA, I tried stopping by the infamous Salk Institute of Louis Kahn, but unfortunately, it wasn´t open for visits… So, if you are planning to visit make sure to check their website first!
Old Town
Besides visiting the places I have mentioned before, I would highly recommend stopping by Old Town. If you are looking for a taste of the past, in both aesthetics and food, this is a must-see. Be ready to feel like you are traveling 150 years back in time!
