New York City is known as a melting pot of cultures from around the world, and my cultural experience there was no exception. From the food to the art and music, I am constantly exposed to new and diverse experiences that expanded my understanding of the world.
One of my favorite aspects of New York City is the food. There are so many different restaurants and cuisines to explore, from Italian to Chinese to Indian and beyond. One of my most memorable meals was at a small, family-owned Ethiopian restaurant in Brooklyn. I had never tried Ethiopian food before, and the communal style of eating with injera bread was a unique experience that I will never forget.
In addition to the food, this month I also had the opportunity to explore many different museums and galleries throughout the city. From the Noguchi museum in queens to the Brooklyn museum, the exhibitions the past few month were really so interesting. I have always loved going to the museum and living in New York City only makes this better. I am looking forward to exploring more and more museums all over the city.
My architectural training is also going really well. I keep on learning new aspect of the job and face new challenges. I am currently working on a project in Peru, which makes my cultural experience even more interesting since I can learn about more cultures.
Overall, the past month in New York City was both enriching and enlightening. I keep on learning so much about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life, and I will carry those experiences with me for the rest of my life. can’t wait to see what March has in store!
