You can say in English «The time goes quickly» or «Times flies». I write on July. First of all I must say that I had bad luck because I lost my metrocard that cost me 127 $. Also, on my first weekend I had an allergy and had to stay in bed. I want to remember how a litlle boy of five described asthma, «I feel like a fish with no water». That´s how I found myself.
However I would like to be positive, therefore I add the following sentence «The only sure thing about luck is that it will change».
On the other hand, there was a day when I was very very scared. I was going to rent an apartment with a friend. It was expensive, 2.500 $, but we are two, just for two months and it’s in Manhattan and it is gorgeous. When the transfer was made the owner stopped responding my phone calls. I thought I had been scammed and I spent three hours of anguish. Fortunately everything was solved and I´m living here now.
After the graduation of my brother as a doctor, reinforcements arrived because my mother and my brother visited me for a week. They stayed in a Hotel by Times Square. They brought me a suitcase with my clothes from Spain. I needed it. We visit many parts of the city, such as the Empire State Building, Color Factory in Soho, Central Park and the famous statue of Alice in Wonderland, the Gugenheim Museum and Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) where we were ecstatic with “The Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh, the Hilton Midtown area, and the three of us ate at the famous Indian restaurant Milo. Last but not least, my brother reinforced my office team in the volleyball game.
Good to see you in the next and future post. By the way, I found a great phrase from a former American comedian (George Burns 1896-1996): “I look to the future because that’s where I’m going to spend the rest of my life”.
