If you’re a series addict that cannot live without your daily dose of chapters of your favourite sitcom or spend the whole night watching Netflix even if you swear that you’re only going to watch one episode, well, you’re gonna love this! Fancy a visit to Carrie Bradshaw and Ted Mosby‘s apartments?
As we told you last week about Archiatric, the amazing project by illustrator Federico Babina, we’re pleased to share with you another great illustration project related with architecture: Spanish interior designer Iñaki Aliste Lizarralde has created a collection of over 20 floorplans from well-known and beloved shows and movies.
It all began when he drew the floorplan of his favourite series: Frasier. It gained such attention and praise form his friends and relatives that he decided to make more and now we all can enjoy the apartments of our favourite TV shows brought to life.
Friends, The Simpsons, Dexter, How I met your mother, I love Lucy, Sex and the City, The Gilmore Girls… those are some of the shows he carefully studied watching them over and over in order to design the most accurate floorplans.
But he doesn’t get inspiration only from TV shows, he also get inspired by movies like Pixar classic Up:
All the plans are completely handmade using cardboard ink, markers and colored pencils. He uses only Windows paint to add the text. He needs about 30 to 40 hours to complete one floorplan.
If you want to see more of Aliste Lizarralde’s work, we encourage you to visit his Tumblr, as well as his Facebook page or buy some print copies or original drawings in his Etsy store.
