VERSE 12: BITTER SWEET SIMPHONY

A year has just unfold before me, today a year ago I landed in a country that was not my own, I had fear, doubts and anxieties, but at the end of the day I am grateful for jumping into the unknown. Now I can look back in gratefulness for all the challenges, experiences and amazing people I met because through them I grew in maturity and knowledge of life.

TO MY FRIENDS AND CHURCH IN PHILLY

My heart is grateful for the lifelong meaningful connections that was made during my time here in Philly, I thank each person at Christ Church South Philly for welcoming me, plugged me and love me into their family, you all were key to keep me going. Best wishes from the bottom of my heart, hopefully I will be around.

TO MY FRIENDS AND CHURCH IN COLOMBIA

Lifelong friendships require sacrifice and intentionality. I am amazed by the way all my close friends made a priority to reach out and keep the conversation going, I am very blessed to experience their love and care even from the other side of the continent. Thank you for being there

TO MY FAMILY

Thank you all for supporting me and pushing me to jump into the international experience, thanks for all the encouragement, time and resources invested in me, I love you all from the depth of my heart.

IN BETWEEN

It is sad to leave everything that was built in a year, I would have never thought I could attach that quickly to people, a city, a routine a culture and have to leave it when you are finally getting it together, nevertheless I am happy that It is being hard because that means I enjoyed to the max the experience, people and what Philly had to offer. I am highly thankful for the city of brotherly love. Also I am happy to go back to my country and be with my family and friends to enjoy who I now become. Hopefully I will live in between staying connected to both sides.

SEE YOU WHEN I SEE YOU

I don’t like to think of good byes so I will be saying “see you when I see you” a lot in the coming days, thank you all that read all my process through the J1 program and as I said before, see you when I see you.
