TRIP TO LA

Two weeks ago it was the 4th of July, Independence day,  it is a national holiday in United States marked by parades, concerts and fireworks displays. It is a proud day for all americans. Take advantage of this long weekend to make another trip around the country, we must take advantage of the time we are here to learn as much as possible. This time I decided to go to the west coast, specifically to Los Angeles, I wanted to go to the beach and ensure good weather.

When I got there I fell in love with this city, it was hot but there was no humidity! The Chicago heat is very humid and can be suffocating.

We made the typical obligatory tourist stops: Rodeo drive, Walk of fame, Beverly Hills, Griffith Observatory… without a doubt what is worthwhile about LA are its beaches

Venice Beach is a must! It’s a continuous show, basket, skate, dance, volley… take a walk there and remember images from a thousand movies. It is the place that I liked the most in Los Angeles, if you are around there you should go!

We also went to other beaches like Santa Monica, its pier with shops, stalls and attractions make it a unique place, Malibu and Long Beach, these two seemed very similar to me, quiet beaches where families go and you can enjoy the day with friends.

The good stuff is over, we don’t have another holiday until September. It is time to continue getting to know Chicago, there are still many things to do! More I know the city, more I like it.

Regarding my work at JGMA I am very happy, learning things every day, I feel lucky to be able to live this experience.

Until next month. We keep in touch!
