Thanksgiving Adventures: From NYC to Montreal and Back
This Thanksgiving, I decided to do something a little different. Instead of staying in New York City, I traveled to Montreal to visit some friends, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience.
Montreal is a beautiful city, full of charm and character. During my visit, I explored some of its most iconic landmarks, like Mount Royal, which offers stunning views of the city, and the enchanting Old Montreal with its cobblestone streets and European vibe. We also visited the Notre-Dame Basilica, a breathtakingly beautiful church that left me in awe. One of the highlights was joining a free walking tour, where we learned so much about the city’s history and culture.
Of course, food played a big role in our trip. I couldn’t leave Montreal without trying their famous bagels and delicious poutine—crispy fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. Sharing these local flavors with friends made the experience even more special. I also had the chance to meet some of my friend’s local friends, which gave me a deeper appreciation for the city’s vibrant community.
Before heading to Montreal, I was lucky enough to celebrate Thanksgiving in New York with some of my closest friends. We cooked a traditional dinner, complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, and all the classic dishes. It was such a cozy and heartwarming evening.
When I returned to New York, I found that winter had truly arrived. Montreal had already been quite cold, but the temperatures in NYC dropped drastically soon after. To my surprise, we even had our first snowfall before Christmas! The city transformed into a magical winter wonderland, and I couldn’t help but feel excited for the festive season ahead.
This Thanksgiving was truly one to remember, filled with friendship, food, and unforgettable memories.
