Exciting month. A month full of good times and exciting plans for the future.
Today is May 31st, my 31st birthday. With barely a third of the programme completed, the experiences and moments could not be better. To start with, I have good news for my people in Spain. In June I’ll be there on holiday for a few days. The desire to see them and share with them has made me decide to spend a few days there. Also because it’s my best friend’s wedding and I don’t think she would forgive me.
Secondly, I am more comfortable than ever in Puerto Rico. The opportunities in the office are growing. Although better to say MARVEL family. New projects and new opportunities keep coming up where I can learn and contribute my bit. In addition, touching disciplines as different as landscape, new construction of residential buildings, remodeling of existing buildings and interior design of public buildings. Each one has a different approach to them but all equally interesting.
To highlight, I could say that it is starting to show that we are entering summer. Especially in that the air conditioning is being kept on for longer periods of time.
It makes me reflect on life here on the island about the importance given to the pedestrian in the development of the city of spaces. The vision that has long been established in Europe about creating more and more green areas and eliminating or limiting the mobility of the car in the city does not exist here. San Juan is not made for walking.
To say goodbye, I would like to say that there are good times ahead at work and outside work. The projects that are in the pipeline are not easy, and will take a lot of work, but they are very exciting.
