Living in LA

Is funny how I am here for two months and at the same time, I feel like I am here for ages. People and life can be so different and at the same time so familiar!

Living

When I was thinking of moving here I thought about renting a studio instead of sharing a flat. Although, I know myself pretty well and I probably wouldn’t socialize. So, I decided to rent a room in a co-living building, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the choice I made!

Currently, I am living just with Americans and they are all new to Los Angeles. That means they all want to enjoy what this city has to offer. From concerts to restaurants, museums, and places! Since the first week, I have got someone to go everywhere and explore slowly this huge city. It is interesting to understand how wrong we are in Europe about American life. I always thought that everything in the US was paid but I couldn’t be more wrong!

Most museums are free or have days free for residents. I still have a long list of museums to go to and I can use all my money to explore the food here!

Exploring around

I also think is important to explore the city at my own pace and with freedom. So, as soon as I could I invested in a bicycle.
In the beginning, I was a bit concerned about how much the bikes are respected here and are not exactly a usual way of transport. I lived in London a couple of years ago and it was crazy and dangerous to use the bike, as the traffic was crazy and most of the time quite dangerous for bike owners.

But, I couldn’t be more surprised! Everyone is so respectful! Maybe just an LA thing, but I couldn’t be happier!
