June, LGTBI Pride month. Month full of work and a lot of effort. But also a month to disconnect and reconnect with my people.

June began and with it the temperatures on the island. Until now I had not slept with the air conditioning on. It was obligatory if I wanted to rest during the night without waking up repeatedly to get water from the kitchen. On the other hand, June here on the island means the beginning of hurricane season. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we don’t have to experience that. Since I came here I have already experienced the power outage on several occasions. I have even had 4 days without electricity at home. Also, water outages for a week where the showers at the gym have saved me those days.

One is never prepared for those moments but here on the island it is mandatory to be.

Also, the nice weather helps to go out and celebrate this Pride month. Parade with floats, and festive music and performances by the sea, under a very «cabron» (strong) sun as they say here.

And above all a month of a lot of work in the office. Projects that were on pause for a month are taken up again, and the phase of projecting and creating finally begins. So far the clients are happy with the work done by the team.

On the other hand, I am happy to say that I was able to return to Spain for a few days this month. To be reunited with my family, my friends and my partner. To add that they have been exciting and necessary days. On the other hand, the worst moment has been to say goodbye to all of them and the return. Literally «the return». Very busy plane trip, long waits with flight delays in Miami, arriving home 3 hours later than planned with dizziness and the desire to lie down.
