Let’s go Rockets!

What a month!

When I arrived here in January, I didn’t expect to have such an energetic start. With the beginning of spring season, it looks like the city is gradually leaving cold days behind, getting ready for the most fun and interesting time of the year.

I had in fact the opportunity to go with all my colleagues to the opening party of the Rodeo, one of the biggest events in Houston.

It has been a night of fun, learning how to dance the typical Texan country dance, wearing cowboy hats and pointed boots.

I had the opportunity to know all the people of my team better, in a fun location and out of work pressure.

Things at work are going pretty well. I fell like every day I always learn so many new and different things. People I work with are very friendly and patient, always ready to explain me what is new to me and help me if I need it. I couldn’t ask for something more than this.

This weekend I had the opportunity to drive till San Antonio, a nice city 3 hours far from Houston, where is still possible to see a famous old building called “the Alamo”, where Texas fought for his independence from Mexico, in 1836.

In San Antonio we were able to make the typical “river walk”and to eat some good Mexican food. Driving back to Houston we also stopped in this nice little village called Columbus, with some typical Texan building from the beginning of XX century.

This month ended with the great basketball game of Rockets! I really like basketball game and being in America also means to have access to many different game. The Rockets are the Houston team and they really were amazing to be seen.

I really want to thanks Architect US for all this great experiences that I’m doing.. can’t wait to see the next one!
