The Painted Ladies, San Francisco, California.

Happy happy new year everyone!

The Painted Ladies, San Francisco, California.

I had a different Christmas Holidays in LA this year. My siblings came from Spain to visit me. It was such a different Christmas Holiday this year! It was my first visit in the city, so I was really excited about this Christmas holidays. It was such a great opportunity for me to explore new places in LA. We went to Universal Studios in Christmas day and it was amazing, we had a great time exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The roller coasters were super fun and the details make this Harry Potter experience incredibly realistic. I felt like an eight year old child having lunch in the three brooms, visiting the Ollivanders store in Hogsmeade or tasting the original butter beer! For those of you who are Harry Potter geeks visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a must.

After Christmas we rented a car and started a road trip to San Francisco. We chose the  route 101 for our trip because is close to the Pacific ocean. So we visited Malibu and Santa Barbara an other spots during the journey. I spent 12 hours in a traffic jam at the 101 driving to San Francisco. We had two bright and beautiful days in San Francisco where it actually gets much colder than LA. We enjoyed the SF MoMa by Mario Botta and it´s extension by Snøhetta, the Young Museum by Herzog & de Meuron and the California Academy of sciences by Renzo Piano Building Workshop in the Golden Gate Park. Downtown San Francisco has beautiful skyscrapers such as the Transamerica Pyramid by William Pereira. I was very surprise by Chinatown which for moments made me forget that I was in California and transported me to the hard of any Chinese city. I crossed the Golden Gate bridge on my way to Sausalito where there is a beautiful view of the bay and Alcatraz island.

For New Year´s Eve I connected via videocall with Spain to followed the twelve grape tradition and a few hours later I went up the hill in Culver City to see the last sunset of the year. They have been fantastic and unforgettable Christmas holidays!
