Episode 4: Spring Break

Hello everybody!
Here I am, one more month, telling my experience in Los Angeles. This month, taking advantage of the fact that I have had a visit, I have decided to make different excursions through Los Angeles.

The city is so big that the change between one neighborhood and another is super drastic. Today we were at Echo Park and had a great time. The number of different species of birds that are immersed in the lakeside park and the vegetation that opens up to frame the skyscrapers that make up the city center is simply magical.

As you sit on the lawn you can hear the palm leaves moving, the birds eating their food, the water moving and the noise of the city in the background. Another of our trips was to the famous neighborhood of Beverly Hills. It’s amazing how the city can change if you compare West and East side. Besides,  also compared the houses a lot with respect to the ones we have in Spain. In Los Angeles you can find houses of all possible colors and sizes. All accompanied by its vegetation. The houses in Spain are usually more similar. However, here each house is a discovery.

Spring has started strongly, and after a week of intense rain the sun is coming out again. On the other hand, it has been time to fill the taxes.

One piece of advice: try to make them ahead of time, especially if it’s your first time! I made them with Sprintax and it was quite easy. However beware of state taxes! they are independent from the feds, something I didn’t know! haha Have a nice month!
