December was a fast month, a lot of travelling and new adventures. I went to the Tucson Botanical Gardens, where I got to visit the butterfly and orchid pavilion, filled with hundreds of butterflies that fluttered around me as I walked. I also got to visit the Tucson Mountain Park twice where I enjoyed the dessert´s breathtaking landscape view. In the next days I went to ice skate in the Tucson holiday ice rink and walked through The Fourth Avenue Street Fair. The Fair hosts artists from around the world, food, local entertainment, and a lot of fun! It was amazing seeing so many people walking around.
At CLL, we had two Christmas gatherings. The first one was a movie night at the office with friends and people from Studio Rick Joy, and the second one was at Mercado San Agustin where we had food and music celebrating the architect´s Rick Joy birthday.
For this month travelling, I went on a quick road trip to Nogales Mexico on the weekend. At work we got a holiday break where I got to visit my cousins in Virginia and Maryland. I spent Christmas eve there where I got to eat a mix of Panamanian and American food. On the 26th we went to New York City. It was my first time visiting the big apple. I went to the Empire State Building, Times Square, Bryant Park, and got to see the Rockefeller Christmas tree. We were just there for a day, but it was fun! One of my cousins took me driving to Washington DC where I got to see the monuments for the first time. After that I travelled back to my home country Panama to spend New Years Eve which is also my birthday. I had a great time with my family on the beach and returned to Tucson in the first week of January.
