An event in VR headset

Hello Architect-US Family, newcomers, and New Yorkers!

It has been quite a month in Studioteka. Residential renovations, photoshoots of the previous projects, RPFs, construction site visits, events, and much more. It is fascinating to see how a small studio like Studioteka Design operates. However, what excites me the most is to be a part of it.

One of my favorite office activities so far was an event in VR headset. I put on a new pair of Oculus, and I saw a different world around me. I logged into Engage platform and met my team members in a waiting room. The event host, Steve Levis, took us on tour to multiple locations. We started in a forest during the polar night, with a bonfire in the middle. It was a good place to put emotions aside and prepare for what was about to happen next. Then, we got teleported to a space center dressed up as astronauts. I saw rockets ready to launch and hopped on one. And, we went to the moon. I am not going to lie when I say it was my first moonwalk! After that, we went to a space station. As the ship was rotating, I started to levitate in the space. I saw Planet Earth in the distance. It was such an incredible zero-g simulation. We went to a few more locations and got back to Dumbo. It was both a fun and learning experience. Studioteka principal Vanessa Keith summed up this event with words: Sky is the limit! I couldn’t agree more.

Lastly, I would like to recommend a digital exhibition in Artech House NYC, located under Chelsea Market. ‘Machine Hallucination: NYC,’ by artist Refik Anadol, was the most visually advanced exhibit I have ever seen.

I wish you all a very inspiring year!
