Hi everyone!
My name is Nicolas and I am an Architect from Uruguay, a little country in south of America, and in just a few days I will be arriving in New Jersey to start living a new professional & life experience.
I think that for anyone who has studied American architecture, they know that the USA is a «living quarry» of hundreds of projects and buildings that have nurtured us throughout the profession. I think that it is really very good to have the possibility of seeing the works but I think that is something even more positive to have the possibility of experiencing the projects but from «the kitchen», that is inside an American architecture studio, I think that for any architect is a pleasure and an unique experience. It is incredible, to think that all this that I once dreamed of in my profession is becoming more and more real.
In 2020 I met Architect-US through the internet but I was a bit decided to wait a while to apply for different reasons as it was a bit unpredictable time due to covid. Until I finally in October 2021 I applied and was accepted by the Architect-us program and just two weeks later I started having interviews with big firms. That was amazing and the whole process was quick.
About the process you have to know that it is an investment for your future. The amounts of the program fees may surprise you but at the end of the process you will know that it is worth it.
Right now I am writing to you from Canelones-Uruguay! Packing and thinking that this decision is worth it because I got my J-1 visa and will start my training in New Jersey next week and I am very happy to share this experience with all of you. I’m sure it will be an amazing experience. I will keep you updated in those 18 months!
