If you´re lucky enough to be around New York during October, then you likely will have the chance to experience Halloween at its best!
But don´t worry if you are not here during October 31, because it all start way earlier. At the beggining of October the supermarkets are suddenly full of pumpkins and special halloween editions of your favourite cookies. A few days later, pumpkins will start to pop-out in windows and doors, and suddenly skeletons and witches are out in the streets!
There are parades and multiple events during that week, but if you want a more local-oriented experience of it, take a walk around Brooklyn Heights or Cobble Hills in Brooklyn and enjoy the housing decoration while you get some ideas for your costume!
