Hawaiian house harvest more energy and water than it consumes

LifeEdited has built a family home on Hawaiian island Maui. The building is self-sufficient with features that save and produce energy and collect and store rainwater.
Thin solar panels cover the roof and collects 10,550 watts of power to supply everything in the house. The water is collected from the roof via chains at each corner, filtered and stored in a tank close to the home.
