Yes, let´s do it!! Museums is one of the most important activities to do in NYC!! You have such an amazing offer that you don’t know which one choose first!
One of my favorites museums in the city is the Museum of Modern Art. You have 2 MOMA´s museum and both worth to spend your time inside of them. Firstly, a friendly advice: “ don´t think in time when you are in, just enjoy it, take your time!”, the MOMA in Midtown is the proper museum and the PS1, that is in Queens, it´is a space for performances and exhibitions/parties related with art. I have been there twice for some exhibitions and everyone told me that in summer you should go to the parties/exhibitions.
For me The MOMA is one of the places that you must go if you visit the city, my recommendation is to don’t think in time during the tour and just enjoy it, spend the time that you need in the permanent exhibition, in front of the Pollock´s, Kandinsky´s, Matisse´s… so much exquisite pieces to enjoy . The permanent exhibition is a very good one in terms of avant-garde period and if you are not in of the art world you can learn a lot about it just having the tour with the headphones.
