From Pier 11 in Manhattan to Red Hook

The feeling of seeing Manhattan from the quietness of the ferry deck is one of the best feelings I’ve ever had in my life.

Two Saturdays ago, New York woke up with a wonderful, sunny and hot day. For this reason, the city looked different after a series of days where the great snow of the year had happened. For this reason, a group of Spanish friends decided to take the ferry from Downtown to Red Hook located in Brooklyn.

This trip is super recommendable. From the deck of the ferry, you can see several pictures, such as the Manhattan Skyline, the Governor’s Island or the Statue of Liberty. In my particular case, I was very interested in the relationship that was established between the Governor’s Island and Manhattan. This relationship was absolutely amazing when vegetation emerged in front of the Manhattan skyline. Once past this point, we head to Hometown BBQ which is an american restaurant where you can eat wonderful ribs after more than half an hour of queuing. Although, I must say it was absolutely worth it. After a short visit to IKEA, at seven, we went back to Manhattan. The situation had changed and the darkness of the night had arisen.

Undoubtedly, the feeling of seeing Manhattan from the quietness of the ferry deck is one of the best feelings I’ve ever had in my life. For all these reasons, I absolutely recommend this trip.
