Second month in NYC

I can’t believe that my second month in this country has come to an end. I don’t know about other places in the world, but time flies in New York. By the time we want to realize it, autumn will have begun.

This second month has been without a doubt a month of getting to know the city in depth. I have walked the streets and chatted with the locals. In this month I have discovered not so touristy areas and incredible places. Without a doubt, one of my favorite things to do is to walk home from work every Friday, without rushing, and crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. The whole Brooklyn Bridge park area is full of local people, running, playing soccer or listening to music, it’s an incredible area. Also, it is a very good area to watch the sunset with great views of Downtown Manhattan.

Throughout this month I have also had the opportunity to visit some friends who are studying at Princeton. The campus, located in NJ, is certainly idyllic. I have also been able to spend my days off at the beach in coney island and touring their amusement park.

Last but not least, this month I have started training with a women’s rugby team, the NYRC (New York Rugby Club). All the girls on the team are super friendly and welcoming, they made me feel at home.

I am sure that in the following months I will continue to fall in love with the city. I am looking forward to amazing things and I can’t be more excited for fall to begin, and for important dates like Halloween and Thanksgivings to come.
