My name is Jaime, and I am a young architect who recently graduated from the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM). I decided to move to Los Angeles because my girlfriend was also relocating there after being awarded an Arquia Scholarship to work at Morphosis. Since we were both going to start a new chapter in LA, I thought it would be a great opportunity to look for a professional experience there as well.
From the beginning, Architect-US made the whole process much easier than I expected. They were very attentive, efficient, and flexible with my needs, and whenever I had a question or concern, they were always quick to respond and help me find a solution. Having someone to guide me through the process made a big difference, especially when dealing with the practicalities of moving to another country.
The job search itself was also surprisingly quick. Shortly after starting the process, Architect-US helped me secure an opportunity with IndiDesign, a design studio in Los Angeles whose work I found really exciting. It was great to see how quickly everything came together and to know that I would be joining a studio that genuinely interested me.
I am also excited to experience American culture and discover different ways of thinking about architecture and design. I think this will be a valuable part of the experience.
I am really excited to start this new chapter in Los Angeles, continue learning, and see where this experience takes me.
