The American firm CLB Architects designed Casa Caju, a vacation home conceived as a serene retreat at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming. Designed for a young family from Miami, the house features a balanced combination of earthy and industrial materials, prioritizing the essential over the excessive and reinforcing the connection with the mountainous landscape.
Located in Teton Village on a gently sloping site, the house is organized into two L-shaped volumes: a main two-story bar with a gabled roof and a secondary single-story volume with a flat roof. This composition allows the house to adapt to the topography, frame views of the Snake River Valley, and create tranquil, open interior spaces that are deeply connected to the natural environment.
