The House of Horns in Los Altos Hills, California, is a work by the WOJR studio conceived as a “set of instruments” that capture light and the passing of the seasons. Completed in 2024, the 790-square-meter residence stands on the slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains, overlooking Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay.
The project takes advantage of the foundation of an old unfinished building and transforms its essence into curved volumes that rise toward the sky. These architectural gestures create double-height spaces and glass facades that frame the landscape, maximizing natural light and creating an intimate experience with the surroundings.
