New concrete diagrid envelops the Fort Atlanta Hotel by Morris Adjmi

Morris Adjmi Architects has completed the new Forth hotel in Atlanta, a 16-story project that stands out for its concrete diagrid exoskeleton enveloping the glass tower. Located in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, opposite a historic park and next to the BeltLine, the building combines structural innovation with a nod to the area’s industrial past.

The three lower levels, clad in gray brick, evoke the aesthetics of the nearby Ponce City Market, now a commercial and gastronomic landmark. In addition, the podium extends into two terraces: one with an outdoor pool and another more intimate one for the members’ club, reinforcing the social and exclusive character of the complex.
