The new Heartland Whole Health Institute building, designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects, stands on the Crystal Bridges Campus in Bentonville, Arkansas, as a benchmark for the integration of architecture, art, and nature. Its stone façade, inspired by the skin of a giraffe, and its curved, branching design seek to engage with the natural environment that surrounds it, reinforcing the idea of a space in harmony with well-being and health.
With more than 8,200 square meters spread over three floors, the headquarters is home to the organization founded by Alice Walton, which works to transform the healthcare system toward a comprehensive and preventive approach. The building reflects this philosophy by offering a space where architectural innovation meets education, nature, and wellness practices.
