A landmark project comes to fruition in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Storm King Art Center will open its long-awaited expansion this May 7, with new buildings and artwork marking a milestone in its 65-year history. The redesign has been led by Heneghan Peng Architects and WXY, with a landscape intervention that transforms the visitor experience.
Changes include extensive landscaping, pathways and the incorporation of new pieces by contemporary artists such as Kevin Beasley, Sonia Gomes and Dionne Lee. This ambitious $53 million project redefines the relationship between art and nature, cementing Storm King as a benchmark in outdoor art.
