New “jagged peak” wood-clad house in Seattle

SHED Architecture & Design has designed a house in West Seattle, whose pitched roof and vertical wood siding evoke the rugged peaks of the Swiss mountains. Its design plays with two roof forms oriented in different directions where the main roof is pitched to the south to maximize solar energy with photovoltaic panels while the lower volume wraps around the garage and north façade creating a harmonious transition with the neighboring property.
