Superdome, restored by Trahan Architects

The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans has been renovated in-house by local firm Trahan Architects, the latest renovation since the firm took on the restoration of the Superdome in 2005 after it was damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The building housed some 20,000 people fleeing the storm.

After Hurricane Katrina, Trahan Architects implemented an exterior renovation, replacing all panels with a rainscreen system made of anodized aluminum metal panels. The current phase of the renovation included the removal of the ramp circulation system in the lobby. In total, the renovation opened up more than 9,290 square meters.
