A headquarters for the National Urban League has been created in Harlem. The project, which houses New York’s “first Civil Rights Museum,” has been developed by local architecture firm Beyer Blinder Belle.
The headquarters replaces a remodeled state parking garage adjacent to the Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. state office building and has 17 floors that will house 171 units of 100% affordable housing, including 51 units for youth coming out of foster care and commercial space for a Trader Joe’s grocery store, Pandora, Sephora and Target.
