A new skyscraper has been completed in Chicago. The project, by the Jahn architectural firm, has two distinct sections along its 223-meter height. The skyscraper is located at the south end of the Michigan Avenue Historic District, near Chicago’s lakefront, and has a distinctive base with large, dark-colored aluminum panels intended to reference the surrounding historic buildings, while the top section is set back slightly from the base and is brighter, intended to complement the Chicago skyline.
